Kick-start your career with Holcim UK as a

Graduate Mechanical Planner

at our Largest quarrying operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a vital role where you'll plan and coordinate maintenance across some of the largest and most advanced equipment in the industry. You'll be at the heart of keeping our operations running smoothly while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in mechanical planning and asset management.


We're looking for someone eager to learn, with a passion for engineering, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. This role offers structured development, mentorship, and the chance to grow into a key technical leader within our business.

What You'll Be Doing

Plan and Schedule Maintenance

- Work closely with our Maintenance Manager and Team Leaders to develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans.

Learn Asset Management

- Monitor equipment performance, track reliability, and help minimise downtime across heavy mobile and fixed plant machinery.

Get Involved in Predictive Maintenance

- Use data and condition monitoring tools to anticipate potential failures and optimise our maintenance strategies.

Support with Inventory Control

- Ensure critical spare parts are identified and available when needed.

Develop Your Reporting Skills

- Learn how to prepare reports on maintenance KPIs, downtime, and asset performance.

Champion Safety

- Play an active role in ensuring all maintenance activities follow strict health, safety, and environmental standards.

Drive Continuous Improvement

- Bring your fresh perspective to help us find smarter, more efficient ways of working.

Who You Are

A recent graduate (or soon-to-be) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A strong problem solver with an analytical mindset. Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. A great communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with both technical teams and suppliers. Motivated to learn and progress, with the ambition to grow into a leadership role in engineering or planning.
