GRADUATE MINERALS AND ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER

Ingrebourne Valley Limited (IVL) is seeking a

Graduate Minerals and Environmental Planner

to join its friendly and expanding team.

IVL is an accredited quarrying company who extract and supply primary building materials (predominantly sand and gravel) to the London and wider Southeast construction and concrete manufacturing markets. The company also specialises in land reclamation and restoration, transforming hundreds of hectares of poor-quality brownfield land into thriving new greenspaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications for minerals and waste developments. Contribute to planning statements, supporting documents and planning conditions. Assist with Section 106 agreements and monitor compliance with planning obligations. Help maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK minerals, waste and planning legislation and policy. Assist with consultation and engagement with local authorities, statutory bodies and the public. Support site visits, inspections and surveys related to planning, restoration and land management. Provide support for day-to-day site operations and assist site teams as required. Support sustainability initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

:

A degree in a relevant discipline (Geography, Environmental Science, Town and Country Planning or similar). Basic knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation, preferably including EIA legislation. Ability to work on own initiative and manage deadlines under pressure. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). A full UK driving licence and confidence travelling to sites across the Southeast and Greater London.

The role is full time, Monday to Friday 08:30am - 5:00pm (inclusive of lunch), and based at the IVL Head Office in Harlow, Essex.
