Role: Graduate or Mid-level FPGA Engineer
Salary: \xc2\xa3competitive
My client is looking for FPGA engineers at a graduate and mid-level to join their multidisciplinary team; this provides the opportunity to capitalise on your existing electronics and FPGA experience under the guidance of lead engineers.
The requirements are:
- A good degree (1st or 2.1 from a well-ranked university) in electronic engineering or similar
- Experience developing FPGA code in either VHDL or Verilog
- A good understanding of digital design principles
- Interest in working within a small design team, displaying a collaborative and confident approach to work
- Any experience with low level software design, using C / C++ would also be of interest.
Desirable skills:
- FPGA design using VHDL and Verilog or Verilog.Proficiency with both Xilinx (ISE and Vivado) and Altera tools and Quartus.
- Experience with ModelSim for simulation.
- Strong problem solving and debugging abilities.
- Experience working with video and audio
- Good understanding of software development especially low-level device drivers
- Board-level hardware design including high speed digital and radio frequency electronics
- An understanding of digital signal processing principles
