About the Role



As a

Graduate Paraplanner

at Pense, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our advisers to deliver high-quality, FCA-compliant advice to clients. You will work closely with our advisory and operations teams to research, prepare, and document bespoke financial recommendations tailored to each client's needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong interest in financial planning to begin a structured, rewarding career pathway--potentially progressing to a regulated adviser role.

Key Responsibilities



Research & Analysis:

Gather and analyse client information, research financial products (pensions, investments, protection), and build financial plans.

Report Preparation:

Draft clear, compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters for advisers to present to clients.

Case Management:

Assist with onboarding new clients, maintaining client files and records in accordance with FCA and GDPR standards.

Liaison:

Communicate with providers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth case progression and exceptional client service.

Technical Support:

Support advisers in technical calculations, cash flow modelling, and product comparisons.

Compliance:

Ensure all advice processes, documentation, and recommendations meet FCA regulatory and company quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to process enhancements and take part in internal training and professional development initiatives.

What We're Looking For



Degree educated:

Recent graduate (any discipline considered, but finance/business/economics advantageous).

Genuine interest

in personal finance, pensions, investments, or wealth management.

Excellent analytical and research skills

--able to interpret financial information and regulations accurately.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

--capable of preparing clear, professional reports.

Attention to detail

and a rigorous, methodical approach to work.

Reliable and highly organised

--able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Committed to professional development

--keen to pursue industry qualifications (e.g., CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning).

Confident, positive attitude

and a desire to build a long-term career in financial advice.

IT literate:

Competent with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems.

Desirable (but not essential):



Progress toward or interest in CII/CISI qualifications. Relevant internship, placement, or experience in financial services, admin, or customer service. Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, or similar).
