We are seeking a skilled Product & Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the onboarding process of our products through design, into production and overseeing the procurement process. The candidate will ensure that our product data is always up to date and ensure aligned with production and ensure that materials and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of product structure and design tools and file structures as well as an understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement systems. The ideal candidate will possess a self starter mentality and an knowledge of product design processes and product structures and have negotiation skills and be able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve optimal results.
Duties
Engineering - Supporting product design and development including product configuration management.
Procurement & Sourcing - Engaging in sourcing, BOM management, supplier communication, and component selection.
Engineering
Assist with the design and development products in varying sectors, including A&D, Industrial, Automotive, Medical and Deep Tech from concept to production.
Contribute to Design, CAD modeling, and prototyping of parts and assemblies.
Collaborate with the engineering team for performance testing and validation.
Participate in material and manufacturing process selection with engineers and suppliers.
Procurement & Sourcing
Support sourcing and procurement of components, samples, and tooling from Global suppliers.
Project Manage Production and sourcing activities to support customer supply demand from our factories
Identify new and alternative suppliers or innovative manufacturing techniques
Perform quotation requests, negotiation and system management, lead time tracking, and maintain procurement records and bills of materials.
Work with supply chain and engineering teams to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
Preferred: Mandarin language preferable but not required.
Proficient in CAD software such as Onshape, SolidWorks, NX, or Creo.
Preferred: Experience with component design for manufacture.
Interest in supply chain, sourcing, or manufacturing operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of balancing technical and commercial considerations.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience through internships, projects, or part-time roles in engineering or procurement is a plus.
