What will you be doing as a Production Engineer for the King Group?
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically competent individual to join our team. Under the supervision and mentorship of a company director, you will:
Follow an agreed training plan to develop your skills and competence.
Take ownership of production capacity planning to ensure effective utilisation of labour resources.
Lead programming of production tooling as the company implements automated welding processes.
Perform component and assembly inspections, this includes at customer premises as required.
Develop manufacturing quality plans and ensure strict adherence to implementation to ensure customer hold/witness points are not passed.
Produce and implement technical and manufacturing procedures.
Ensure that manufactured components, assemblies and products comply with type approval requirements.
Investigate shop floor non-conformities and implement effective corrective actions.
Manage goods rejection procedure and supplier communication to mitigate the impact of non-conforming/performing parts.

What will you need to demonstrate to be considered for the role?
Meet the eligibility criteria as some projects may require you to undergo security vetting.
Be a degree-qualified mechanical engineer or recent graduate (<5 years ago), wanting to change career direction. Minimum 2:1. Those with exceptional technical or scientific degrees will also be considered.
You must embrace hands-on work. You will need to roll your sleeves up, you will get dirty, and you will spend time on the tools.
Ability to research and self-teach new subjects and technical processes.
Technical writing ability.
Exceptional IT skills, programming experience highly desirable.
Highly organised and methodical approach, able to multitask, manage and deliver multiple improvement projects.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and written with the ability to listen, engage and persuade, and to convey conceptual and complex ideas and information.
Creative, practical problem solver.
