GVG (https://www.gvggroup.com/) is a growing consultancy specialising in asset management and maintenance. We combine technical engineering expertise with hands-on delivery to support clients across industries in the UK.
As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Graduate Project Engineer who is enthusiastic, curious and ready to start building a career in asset management consulting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, variety and working with different clients.
Our Head Office is in Llandeilo, but our engineers are based across South Wales (and beyond) with our Engineering Office in Port Talbot.
Role Overview
You will support the delivery of asset management, maintenance and technical data projects across multiple sectors. From your first day you will contribute to live client work, gaining experience in asset data collection, maintenance strategy development and system configuration. You will receive structured training, on-the-job learning and close mentorship from experienced consultants.
This is a role for someone who wants to learn fast, grow their capability and gain wide experience across engineering, data, maintenance and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of asset management and maintenance projects for UK clients
Assist in building asset registers, asset hierarchies and criticality assessments
Help configure and populate CMMS systems such as SAP and Maximo
Contribute to maintenance strategies, asset data structures and process improvement activities
Collect and verify technical data during site visits and walkdowns
Support health and safety documentation and compliance activities
Work in project teams and develop core consultancy skills including communication, problem-solving and client engagement
About You
Essential
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Manufacturing or similar)
Keen interest in asset management, maintenance or engineering consultancy
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
The ability to work with client teams and help lead them through solutions
Confident communicator with a positive, proactive attitude
Organised and adaptable with the ability to work on different projects
Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK
Desirable
Familiarity with asset management concepts
Experience using data tools or engineering software
Awareness of H&S principles
Interest in professional registration (IEng, CEng)
