The GIC graduate scheme is like no other. Designed for university leavers with conference and events potential, it challenges from the start. Trainees develop their sales and marketing skills in roles with real responsibility in several different areas of the department during the one-year programme. At the same time, working towards a permanent position on the competition of the year, with a specialism in a particular area.

Candidate Specification
The right candidate will be/have:
Academically superior and a clear record of academic excellence, both in your high achieving results and your dedication to co-curricular activities.
Experience of work. Candidates will have taken a job and worked at the same place for at least 3 months, even if it is just a weekend job before or during university.
A confident character who can communicate. We want our candidates to have big personalities that deliver for our customers. There will be lots of work on the phone and on email and LinkedIn so being a good communicator is a must!
Technologically adept. Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Gmail are essential, as is the basic processing tools of WORD and EXCEL.
Target and results driven, eager to succeed, good in a team but excellent on your own, confident, charismatic, to-the-point, fast but with excellent attention to detail.
The Scheme
Trainees benefit from two secondments within the Marketing and Sales department during the two-year scheme.
SECONDMENT 1: DELEGATE SALES (1 Year)
Delegate Sales is about learning our marketing process and how you can be the key to converting that marketing into bookings. We help train you to become an expert salesperson. You'll learn how to convert data and strategy into actual sales and earn commission on every sale you make, Plus it is uncapped!
SECONDMENT 2: SPONSORSHIP (1 Year)
Sponsorship means more key players, more networking, bigger brands, and bigger money making! Increase your skill set and become a major player in the company.
