The Role

IPEC are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join our Service Team. The successful candidate will be


based at our main office in Stockport but also provide support to field investigation work,


installation, commissioning and training in both the UK and overseas. This role offers exciting


opportunities for on-site work and professional development in power sector. The successful


candidate will receive comprehensive hands-on training on IPEC products and directly engage with


domestic and international clients.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Carrying Installation, testing and commissioning of IPEC Monitoring systems in substations

along with Project Manager or Sr Field Service Engineer.

Conducting On-line & Offline high voltage partial discharge testing, in addition to other

condition-based testing, at customer sites worldwide

Analysis of field test results and preparation of technical reports for clients. Cary out repairs and maintenance or upgrade work on PD monitors permanently installed in

substations as part of IPEC SLA Framework and maintenance agreements.

The Right Person

The post will be adapted to suit the right candidate - ability, aptitude and attitude are extremely


important. As a guide, we would expect a suitable candidate to:

Hold a graduate Degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering (and/or other relevant

Engineering discipline/industry experience)

Knowledge of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment Be flexible and responsive in working patterns and hours, comfortable working

independently

Be a competent written and verbal communicator, willing and able to engage and

communicate with a wide range of people externally and internally

Demonstrate an ability to learn and an interest in developing a career in the Power Industry

with an option to specialise in Substations and Partial Discharge impacts on the systems

* Be willing to travel over 40% on field within UK and globally.
