Job Description

You'll lead on the day to day operation of our social media activity, across Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and our websites - including blogs - all of which are linked to Hootsuite for ease of function.

You will play an important part in a growing, supportive and agile team of staff, curating text and visuals across a number of themed work areas - some of which also include phenomenal volunteers and from time to time, expert and pro-bono communications professionals.

We are working with clients across diverse topic areas to deliver excellence in social media impact and growth in web traffic. You will drive and achieve this with tailored responses, creative approaches to high impact, high engagement and high-quality work, underpinned by content integrity and sharp design.

You will deliver innovative and accurate digital outputs across web and social media, developing new audiences, growing understanding and achieving increased engagement and reach.

Job Responsibilities

Dedicate: Work flexibly, creatively and dynamically as part of a small, passionate team with a significant and growing workload, supporting clients, colleagues and volunteers. Be willing and able to respond to bespoke needs beyond the scope of this role description, as this will be needed!

Plan: Prepare and co-ordinate the scheduling of social media content across our channels (including content and blogs on a range of websites - where content updates and management will be required) working closely with colleagues, including the preparation of weekly draft content for review, and weekly scheduling activity once agreed.

Audience approach: Work with our team, clients, communications partners and partner organisations on occasions, to develop and inform our audience, increasing engagement and allowing content to be effectively cross-promoted. Consider and help develop a stratified approach to our range of audiences

Implement: Support high impact periodic and ongoing campaigns and monitor and evaluate effectiveness, providing reports on reach and impact.

Create: Create engaging written content, for web and social media, using video, audio and image-led materials (training will be provided if needed). Be alert to tone, voice and house-style which is channel specific, and work with colleagues (with support) to ensure high integrity and accessible content, underpinned by accurate and evidenced data. Where required ensure necessary content approvals are in place.

Embed routine: Devise, develop and oversee a service specific, weekly content planner across our channels, and monthly review of web content with updates, ensuring that content scheduling is coordinated, timely and relevant to meet our client needs, company requirements and wider media objectives.

Evaluate and improve: Monitor, analyse and evaluate data. Evaluate and analyse traffic patterns enable regular reporting on performance and proactive modification of approach. Compare channels and advise of balance of investment for web, social media and wider impact.

Report: Prepared and deliver reports to the Directors and clients teams as needed, reporting on impact, success and progress (to date) and plans (upcoming). Prepare high quality reports and presentations as requested.
