Overview of Responsibilities

As

Graduate Software and IT Engineer, you will develop and improve software for diagnostic control and data acquisition; enhance network-based data acquisition systems; and support the development of data servers and processing systems through ongoing interaction and collaboration.



Your core responsibilities:


Work with scientists and engineers to understand their data acquisition and control requirements. Provide help and support to scientists and engineers that use the group's systems. Research and evaluate the applicability of new technologies for the team. Organise own time to deliver tasks and maintain communication about progress. Participate in graduate scheme projects and development activities. Implement and support software and data infrastructure activities within the Plasma Control and Sensors Unit. Salary

Qualifications

Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 or '26 Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint Driven, with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
