As part of the TUV family, TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) are recruiting for an Engineering Software Development Graduate based in our North West office in Warrington.





We are excited to offer an opportunity for engineering graduates who want to apply their technical engineering knowledge through software development. As a Graduate Engineering Software Developer at TUV Rheinland, you will work at the intersection of engineering and technology--helping design, build, and enhance specialist process engineering software used globally across high?hazard and industrial sectors.



You will




Apply your engineering principles (e.g., fluid flow, thermodynamics, materials behaviour) to solve real?world problems through software. Learn modern development practices under the guidance of experienced engineers and software developers. Contribute to the development, optimisation, and maintenance of engineering applications used by practising engineers. Engage with the numerical methods and solvers behind our process engineering tools. Participate in a structured graduate programme designed to grow you into a hybrid Engineer?Developer with domain expertise and strong coding capability. Continue developing your skills through relevant technical and software courses.

This role would be ideal for an Engineering Graduate who enjoys coding and wants to build engineering software.





Requirements:




Essential




Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Physics) with strong analytical/problem?solving skills. A genuine interest in applying engineering principles through software development. Some experience with coding (e.g., Python, C#, MATLAB, VBA, or similar), gained through university projects, personal projects or industrial placement. Curiosity, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm for engineering problems

Desirable




Experience working in or exposure to high?hazard or regulated industries. Understanding of numerical methods or scientific computing concepts. Clean UK driving licence.
