The Role



Specify, develop, and maintain customer-specific applications for Pufferfish's spherical display systems, ensuring each solution is optimised for performance, usability, and visual impact. Design and implement core software technologies that enable the seamless operation of Pufferfish displays, interaction frameworks, media handling, and device communication layers. Support and maintain deployed applications, providing bug fixes and enhancements. Collaborate with creative and content design teams to interpret client briefs, understand artistic and experiential objectives, and deliver interactive or visual solutions that maximise the capabilities of the display technology. Provide technical support and integration assistance to clients and partners, including installation guidance, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation for bespoke deployments. Contribute to internal development processes by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvements. Ensure software quality and compatibility across different hardware platforms and operating environments. Engage in R&D initiatives to explore new interaction models, visualisation techniques, and media formats that expand the creative and commercial potential of spherical display technologies.

Key Skills



BSc degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline C# programming for .NET Unity 3D (or similar) development Working with multi-disciplinary teams Self-starting, enthusiastic, flexible Strong Communication Skils 1-2 years commercial software development experience User interface design Web development with JavaScript, React Working in an Agile development environment

Location



The role is based at the Pufferfish HQ on the south side of Edinburgh and requires a minimum 3 full days per week in the office.

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate

Pay: 27,500.00-32,500.00 per year
