Job Description


A new role has arisen for a Graduate Software Engineer to join an expanding company in the renowned Harwell Space Cluster, Oxfordshire (OX11), joining a growing team and working with some highly talented Engineers and Scientists.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to build on a high level Masters degree (or possibly PhD) with a keen interest in supporting some of the world\xe2\x80\x99s biggest science experiments.

As Graduate Software Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Help design, implement and maintain specialist software applications to control instruments used in astronomy, high-energy physics and other \xe2\x80\x9cbig science\xe2\x80\x9d projects.
  • Visiting clients facilities providing ongoing support to scientist, engineers
Experience required:
  • The role will be hands on and challenging, the ideal candidate will be familiar with Linux and have some skills in either Python, C or C++. You will be working with a supportive manager and wider team who will help develop your skills over time.
