Graduate Solicitor Apprentice to work in our Employment Department Based at our Telford Office
Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm

Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious law graduate to join our dynamic Employment Law department as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice.
You will be joining a supportive team that provides proactive, commercially focused employment law advice to a diverse client base of employers, who are members of our specialist HR service, Alpha.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring solicitor to gain hands-on experience and develop their legal skills in a supportive and professional environment.
Applicants must possess the ability to satisfy demanding clients and work to deadlines. This role will involve supporting fee earners with a full caseload of Alpha clients, with ad hoc support to fee earners undertaking Employment Tribunal work.
This is a 30-month fully funded Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship, during which the successful applicant will attend an online training program delivered by an external provider (mainly during working hours). The apprenticeship includes preparation for the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE), offering comprehensive training for both SQE1 and SQE2. Upon completing the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be able to undertake the SRA Character & Suitability test, enabling them to qualify as a solicitor.
Excellent career progression prospects as the successful candidate will have an opportunity to be recruited into the team as a newly qualified solicitor after completing the apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting fee earners with case load subject to close supervision, including drafting legal documents.
Supporting the team in managing a diverse caseload of employment law and HR matters.
Undertaking legal research.
Drafting legal articles on legislation changes and case law developments.
Undertaking administrative tasks as required to support the smooth running of client matters and the department.
Handling telephone communication from clients.
Assisting in the overall efficient running of the team.
Attending departmental training sessions.
Increased responsibility as experience grows.
Requirements:
A strong interest in employment law and a commitment to pursuing a career as a solicitor.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Research and drafting skills.
Must possess a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB) with a 2.2 or above.
Must have a GCSE in English & Maths between A-C (or comparable equivalent) Must live within a 20-mile radius of our Telford office
Ideally able to drive with own car
Pay:
First year of apprenticeship - 7.55 per hour
Second and third year of apprentice - National minimum wage hourly rate based on age.
