Hours:

27.5 hours per week, 12:45 to 5:30pm, Monday to Fridays, plus Saturday mornings, with the exact start and finish times to be agreed with the Director of Sport.

Salary: 8,290.70 pro-rata for two terms inclusive of holiday pay (25,904.74 FTE).

Contract: Fixed Term Contract from January to July 2026.

St George's Junior School requires a Graduate Sports Assistant to join the PE Department for two terms from January 2026. This position would suit candidates who are considering a career in the teaching profession and would provide excellent work experience.

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and highly motivated individual who would like to be part of a vibrant and inspirational department. Candidates should ideally be able to coach to a high level in at least one of the Junior School sports and will be asked to coach and officiate within a range of sports across the contract. Experience in playing or coaching Netball, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, or Football to a high level would be an advantage.

The PE Department stresses all aspects of good practice in physical education and are passionate about developing sport at the Junior School. We have a reputation for achieving excellence in all our main sports; expectations are high, and the Junior School is very proud of its sporting traditions.
