About the Role

A

Graduate Sports Coach is a key figure in our programmes, responsible for inspiring and developing young athletes through well-planned, engaging sessions. You'll bring an enthusiastic, kind, and empathetic approach to your coaching--motivating every child to do their best while ensuring sessions are inclusive, safe, and enjoyable.

You'll also act as a positive role model, communicate effectively with staff and parents, and uphold Active8 Minds' high standards of professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

Plan & Deliver Sessions: Create and lead fun, age-appropriate sports activities tailored to different ability levels.*

Coordinate with Support Staff: Brief assistants on session structure, objectives, and expected outcomes.*

Ensure Safety: Maintain high standards of child safety, welfare, and safeguarding throughout every session.*

Manage Equipment: Check, prepare, and maintain all equipment to ensure it is safe and suitable for use.*

Promote Inclusivity: Foster a positive, supportive environment where every child can participate confidently.*

Complete Administration: Follow all company and child protection policies; complete required paperwork accurately and on time.*

Report Incidents: Immediately report any safeguarding or safety concerns to management and complete relevant documentation.*

Assistant Sports Coach: Support lead coaches and assist in delivering sessions.*

Lead Sports Coach: Plan and execute sessions, mentor assistants, and drive athlete development.*

Club Manager: Oversee club operations, manage staff, and ensure success through strategic planning and leadership.*
