We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, pro-active self-starter with a "can do attitude" to join our team. You will have an MSc or MEng degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognised UK university. You will be comfortable working independently or in a team and be confident and competent with both verbal and written communication with an excellent command of English, as report writing and attending meetings with clients, some of which will be on site inspections, will be required. You will possess a high standard of literacy, numeracy, analytical, problem-solving and computing skills and be able to allocate your time to projects to meet the required objectives.
Joining a highly professional and established award-winning structural consultancy, you will be given training and development in all aspects of Structural Engineering design and consultancy, including internal and external training courses, mentoring and extensive involvement in live projects. We will support your journey towards chartered status. Responsibilities increasing on the back of your technical development.
Qualifications and Qualities we are looking for:
Educated to degree level or equivalent with an MSc or MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering, (or currently studying for a Master's degree.)
Understanding the relevant codes and standards and able to use AutoCAD (being proficient in AutoCAD and Revit will be highly advantageous), and proficient with structural Engineering software.
Experience in design using materials including Steel, Concrete, Masonry and Timber
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills (Grade C and above in GCSE English)
Be an enthusiastic team player and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Demonstrate a "can do attitude"; this is very important to us.
