About the Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll play an essential role in the daily life of the classroom. Your support will help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and build the skills they need to thrive - both academically and emotionally.
You'll be involved in:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
Collaborating with teaching and therapy teams to deliver inclusive learning
Promoting emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
Thinking on your feet and adapting to different needs throughout the day
Forming strong, trusting relationships that make children feel seen and supported
Who You Are
This role is ideal for graduates who are:
Studying or qualified in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Health and Social Care, or similar (all degrees considered)
Empathetic, calm, and resilient with a proactive attitude
Curious about SEND and keen to learn from experienced staff
Interested in progressing into teaching, educational psychology, youth work, speech and language therapy, or mental health

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm

If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
