Role Overview





We are seeking people with enthusiasm and commitment to provide a high quality, added value service to our clients. In return, we'll develop your skills in accountancy, taxation and audit and your IT & business development exposure will be substantial. As your experience grows, invariably your client exposure will increase, alongside your level of responsibility. To equip you to deal with this, personal skills training is provided.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise



We are looking for people who are:

Working Towards a Degree or is Degree Qualified:

We will first look at applicants who have at least 300 UCAS points (old tariff, 125 new tariff). We accept applications from any degree discipline.

Part or Non-Qualified:

Whether you don't hold any accountancy qualifications or have started on your journey to become a Chartered Accountant - we want to hear from you!



The programme



You'll join a training contract and programme, combining practical client experience with professional study towards your qualification.

Alongside your qualification, you'll become part of the

Sumer Academy

- our dedicated early careers development programme. The Academy runs alongside your studies, offering a blend of online, virtual and in-person learning focused on building both your technical skills and the soft skills that will help you thrive in your future career.

You'll also train as part of a

group-wide cohort

, connecting with other trainees from across the Sumer Group to share experiences and learn together.

About You


To apply, you'll need a strong academic background, including at least a Grade C/4 in English and Grade B/6 in Maths at National 5 level (or equivalent).
