We are currently recruiting three individuals who wish to train as accounting technicians. We are looking for individuals who wish to find a long term career with us in the accountancy profession as a proactive Pembrokeshire based firm of Chartered Accountants.

What we can offer you



Full funding and support to study the Chartered Accountant ACA qualification including study leave and time off for exams You will work in a friendly and progressive environment, within teams of varying sizes. You will be enrolled into the ACA courses with Reed Business School You will complete a three-four year training contract with a view to becoming an a qualified Chartered Accountant Training with Sage University in accounting software Exposure to a wide range of clients across many industry sectors You will have exciting development opportunities available where you can build your knowledge in many of the sectors in which we operate An experienced qualified Chartered Accountant to support your development From early on you will be given responsibility, dealing with range of clients including private clients, individuals , partnerships and companies. The Role & responsibilities during training



Our Trainee positions are supported by full training and on job support which will be given to develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within our firm. This support will help you:

Learn about all aspects of accounting software Understand data input and principles of double entry Manage all types of financial information Help to prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships Bookkeeping for clients on various accounting packages Preparation of VAT returns for clients Using accounting software to provide accurate reporting for clients Producing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets Preparing basic tax computations and returns e.g. corporation tax, VAT Preparing working papers including bank reconciliations, other reconciliations and manual control accounts Work as part of a team to provide clients with proactive financial information, interpretation of such data, and solution enablement to allow our clients to grow and succeed in their business objectives.

About You

Are educated to a relevant accounting degree Strong aptitude for IT, specifically Excel Affiliation for Pembrokeshire Be well presented Exceptional attention to detail Be enthusiastic and keen to learn Good written and verbal communication skills Strong communication and organisational skills Excellent time management Can work well under pressure, hit deadlines and respond promptly to requests You must be able to work independently and alone, and be self-motivated You must be able to problem solve, and be able to apply common sense to situations as the need arises You must be hardworking with a good sense of humour Speak English clearly and fluently Friendly, honest, and self-motivated A positive, confident and proactive attitude Enjoy working as part of a team Willingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studies
