Graduate Video Editor
who lives and breathes storytelling -- someone who can craft full episodes with precision and turn them into high-energy 90-second trailers that capture attention in seconds.
Your work will directly shape how millions of young people discover the stories that could change their lives.
The Role
As our
Graduate Video Editor
, you'll be a key creative force behind My Duvet Flip. You'll edit the full-length podcast-style episodes and craft the story narrative for our flagship 90-second trailers.
This role is perfect for someone who loves shaping narratives, finding emotional beats, and turning long-form conversations into binge-worthy, shareable content.
You'll grow fast, learn from experienced producers, and play a central role in defining the visual and emotional identity of the UK's most exciting career show.
What You'll DoEpisode Editing & Narrative Crafting
Edit full My Duvet Flipepisodes -- shaping flow, pacing, structure and story arc
Identify the strongest moments, hooks and emotional beats from raw footage
Craft compelling 90-second trailers that tell a clear story and make people stop scrolling
Cut, sync and polish multi-camera interviews, podcasts and B-roll
Apply colour correction, audio balancing and light VFX to elevate final outputs
Creative Trailer Production
Build tight, story-driven short-form edits designed to grab attention within seconds
Integrate music, pacing, emotional framing and strong opening hooks
Use typography, transitions and light graphics to heighten narrative clarity
Platform-Ready Social Content
Adapt video stories for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and LinkedIn
Optimise formats, pacing, captions and aspect ratios for each platform
Maintain visual and tonal consistency across all show assets
Workflow & Collaboration
Manage footage, project files and edits in a clean, structured workflow
Work closely with producers and the social team to align edits with storytelling goals
Spot opportunities to improve narrative, visuals and audience impact
Stay curious about editing trends, storytelling techniques and emerging video tools
What We're Looking For
A portfolio showing strong video editing skills and storytelling ability
Confident in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (motion graphics a bonus)
Strong sense of pacing, emotion, structure and narrative flow
Ability to turn long conversations into tight, engaging stories
Comfortable editing interview/podcast-style content
Highly organised, reliable and excited to iterate
A storyteller at heart -- you feel the moments that matter on screen
Bonus Points For:
Experience with colour grading or audio polishing
Light motion graphics (typography, transitions, overlays)
Familiarity with storyboarding or narrative planning
Interest in social-first content and viral storytelling
