As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Grants Audit Senior to join our dynamic team in our Dundee office. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad and varied portfolio of grant-funded projects across high-profile public sector and commercial clients throughout Scotland, where you'll play a key role in upholding financial integrity and building lasting client relationships.

As a Grants Audit Senior, you will be responsible for planning and conducting audits, reviewing work prepared by junior staff, and ensuring audit reports are accurate, insightful, and delivered within agreed timescales. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, responding to queries, and delivering training on grant compliance requirements. As a senior member of the team, you will also contribute to staff development by mentoring junior colleagues and promoting best practice.

As a Grants Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:



Deliver accurate and compliant grant audits by planning and executing fieldwork, selecting samples, and preparing clear, insightful audit reports in line with agreed deadlines. Review and maintain audit quality by overseeing the work of junior staff, addressing feedback from senior reviewers, and ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance. Act as a trusted adviser to clients, offering expert guidance on grant funding regulations, resolving queries, and delivering training on compliance and audit processes. Contribute to business development by supporting tender submissions, leveraging industry networks, and promoting the firm's expertise through content creation and client engagement. Support and mentor junior team members, promoting knowledge-sharing, providing structured feedback, and helping to embed best practices across the team. Stay informed on regulatory developments and continuously seek opportunities to improve audit processes, ensuring the team remains current and efficient in its practices.

The successful candidate will be:

Be fully qualified (CA, ACCA, CIA or equivalent) or part qualified with an appropriate level of practical experience and exam success Minimum two years of experience in accountancy practice, ideally in audit. Grant audit experience is beneficial but not essential (training provided). Strong numerical, data analysis, and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues across sectors. Client-focused, commercially aware, and organized under tight deadlines. Solid technical knowledge with a proactive approach to CPD. Committed to high personal and professional standards with task ownership. Proficient in IT; experience with audit software is advantageous.
