Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manage grant function within R&D, including management of grants register, reporting metrics, quality checking, and costings. Be responsible for developing grant costings for research projects and personal awards in accordance with submission deadlines and funders guidelines. Work with clinicians to establish interest and scope for participation in research studies and build local capacity through working to address their support needs and barriers to involvement. Provide expert knowledge to investigators and R&D colleagues on funding information, rules and guidelines.Work with University of Southampton investigators and professional support teams to support joint grant applications Skills and Experience: We need a proactive and confident communicator with a keen eye for detail. You will be able to grasp financial details relating to research projects and early career researchers' personal development. You will work well within a team whilst being able to manage your own time, work independently and take responsibility for meeting deadlines. Ideally, you will have a robust understanding of the funding programmes and processes used to support the delivery of high-quality research.
You will have a strong commitment to public service values and working for the benefit of patients and recipients of healthcare.
