Job Description

JLL supports the Whole You, personally and professionally.

Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology to our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people in our industry; and we support them through professional growth, flexibility, and personalized benefits to manage life in and outside of work. Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades, and technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, we empower you to shape a brighter way forward so you can thrive professionally and personally.

What this job involves:

Our graduate programme will provide you with first-hand experience while working towards building your creative portfolio and professional design qualifications.

You'll join us on a 2 year trainee programme, working towards developing expertise in visual communications and presentation design within the commercial interior design and office fit-out sector.

Anyone with a degree can join this programme, irrespective of degree discipline, though a background in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related creative fields is preferred. We're focused on training you to become a qualified and well-rounded creative professional specialising in work-winning design solutions.

Working within JLL's Office Fit-Out Interior Design Team, you will get extensive experience in how compelling visual communications drive business development success. You will take ownership for real creative work that will help our team win new projects and showcase our design capabilities to potential clients. You will gain exposure to pitch presentations, proposal development, and understand the visual strategies that differentiate us in competitive tender processes.

What your day-to-day will look like:

You'll get involved in real work-winning activities from day one that will help our interior design team secure new business and achieve their ambitious targets.

The work will vary but below are some of what you'll experience:

Pitch & Proposal Development:

Design compelling pitch presentations and tender submissions that showcase our interior design capabilities and project experience

Create visually striking proposal documents, including cover designs, layout templates, and infographic summaries of our design approach

Develop case study presentations that highlight successful office fit-out projects and demonstrate our design expertise

Design competition entries and award submissions that position JLL as a leader in workplace interior design

Project Visualization & Marketing:

Create marketing materials for completed fit-out projects, including project sheets, before/after comparisons, and visual case studies

Design digital portfolios and presentation materials that can be customised for specific client sectors or project types

Develop mood boards, concept visualisations, and design intent graphics to support initial client presentations

Create branded templates and presentation frameworks that can be used across multiple business development opportunities

Client-Facing Design Support:

Design materials for client meetings, including agenda templates, capability statements, and follow-up presentations

Create visual aids that help clients understand space planning concepts, design processes, and project timelines

Develop branded proposal covers and document layouts that reflect both JLL standards and client-specific requirements

Design digital presentations for virtual client meetings and online pitch presentations

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with interior designers, project managers, and business development teams to understand project requirements and win themes

Participate in pitch preparation meetings and contribute creative ideas for presenting our design solutions

Build relationships with external consultants, photographers, and suppliers who support our marketing efforts

Attend project site visits to better understand the context for your creative work and gather visual inspiration

Process Improvement & Innovation:

Develop efficient workflows for rapid turnaround of pitch materials and proposal graphics

Create and maintain libraries of reusable design assets, templates, and visual elements

Implement new design tools and technologies that enhance our presentation capabilities and competitive edge

Take part in regular training focused on presentation design, visual storytelling, and business development support

What you'll get from us:

We know that your unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives help us think bigger, spark innovation and succeed together.

At JLL, we want everyone to feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential, and here are just some of the ways we'll make that happen.

Support from us - The Early Careers team will be with you every step of the way during your programme. Your manager and team will also be there to guide you day-to-day.

Support from your buddy - You'll be paired with a peer on a similar pathway to you who will be there to answer any questions and guide you.

Training opportunities for everyone - No matter your experience or role, both our Early Careers and Learning teams will provide you with lots of ways to improve and develop your skills, from managing stakeholders and clients to report and pitch writing.

Dress for your day - Each day will be different, so we trust you to dress according to what you're doing. For example, if you're meeting clients then it's important to dress smartly to reflect the great work we do, and we encourage you dress more casually when you don't.

Competitive salary - As an accredited Living Wage employer, we are committed to paying you a wage that is fair and competitive to the industry we work in.

25 days holiday, plus bank holidays each year - We encourage you take breaks from work and hope you use this time to recharge regularly throughout the year.

2 paid volunteer days each year - We feel it's important to give back to the communities around us. JLL set up events with specific charities and organisations which you can get involved with, such as our work with schools. Or you can use your days to support a charity or local organisation of your choice.

Wide range of employee benefits - You can take advantage of them, which include a well-being support and resources, exclusive discounts, pension, private medical healthcare, dental insurance, employee assistance programme, season ticket loan, cycle-to-work scheme, mortgage advice, and more.

Required Skills and Experience:

GCSEs - C / 4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)

Degree - Any degree type, irrespective of degree discipline, though a background in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related creative fields is preferred

You'll have a curious mindset so you can learn and grow with us

You'll be passionate and eager to contribute your thoughts, create fresh ideas, and challenge yourself to do more than you think you could

You'll have an interest in the property industry and how we can shape its future

You'll be able to connect with others easily and build strong relationships
