During the rapid growth of our client base, we have the exciting opportunity to grow our Creative Team with a new Graphic Designer, who will assist the Senior Creative with projects for multiple clients (as well as our internal marketing designs!)
Role:
We are looking for a talented and highly creative Graphic Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working with multiple clients and express strong visual communication skills. They should have a strong portfolio to showcase their ability to create compelling graphics, from concept to final design, across digital and print media.
This position offers hybrid working opportunities between our Head Offices in Cardiff and home, this role demands flexibility, creativity, and a collaborative approach to meet the business's evolving needs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Design and develop visual assets for a variety of clients with different visual languages simultaneously - including but not limited to logos and brand guidelines, website design, social media style guides, printed marketing materials and packaging.
Project research following briefing from clients, ensuring your designs are in line with client expectations and ideas are backed up with trend and competitor research, which can be presented clearly to the client.
Collaborate with Marketing and Web team to ensure designs work across all department needs in order to maintain full consistency for the client and brand guidelines.
Manage timescales independently to ensure project tasks are on track, deadlines are met and work is delivered to clients on agreed dates. Efficiently utilise project management software (teamwork) to keep on top of tasks and milestones (training will be given for this).
Communicate with clients regularly to keep them up to date with project progress, through emails, calls and messages. Take part in group and individual meetings with clients to present work, update progress or discuss briefs.
Stay up to date on industry trends and design best practices to ensure we are always offering an innovative and effective design service.
Various adhoc tasks to support the business needs. As a small but growing team, we help each other out!
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related creative field.
2+ years of experience in Graphic Design, preferably for an agency or for multiple clients.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential:
Excellent knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
Strong typography, layout and colour theory knowledge.
Ability to independently design strong branding concepts.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and presenting to clients confidently.
Ability to take brand guidelines design across a variety of platforms as required (such as Canva and Powerpoint)
Independent time management.
Desirable:
Basic knowledge in Figma (Desired not essential - training in-house available)
Familiarity with UI/UX principles.
Familiarity with Motion Graphics (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other)
