Job Summary



As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop, we are looking for a talented and creative

Graphic Designer

to join our Marketing & Communications team.



This exciting role is key in ensuring that the team provides content of the highest quality for the Group. Working under the direction of our Group Head of Marketing and Internal Communications and alongside others in the creative team, you will develop creative ideas and concepts for external and internal communications collateral. You will be practical, efficient and have excellent attention to detail.



The post holder should have proven experience in a fast-paced Graphic Design role and be well versed in creating content for print and web. The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly and should be confident working to demanding deadlines.





Key duties include:



Develop and execute creative design concepts for high-quality digital and print content, ensuring that all content aligns with our standards and guidelines. This can include brochures, adverts, case studies, conference collateral, newsletters, site hoarding as well as social media and website/intranet content. Working autonomously on projects for both internal and external communications across the organisation.

Liaising with printers and suppliers to ensure production quality standards are maintained. Ensuring a high quality, on brand approach to all design.

Working quickly and efficiently under pressure on multiple projects at one time with excellent attention to detail. Image library management.



This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Graphic Designer and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.



Personal Specification



Technical Competencies



Essential



Proven experience working as a Graphic Designer. Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia or other related field Excellent portfolio demonstrating the ability to create a wide variety of design work (e.g. visual, print, brand). Strong knowledge base of Adobe software, particularly Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Powerpoint. Creative flair and ability for both print and digital design. Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for layout. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.



Desirable



After Effects and Premiere software experience An understanding of the construction industry
