The Graphic Designer will report to the Head of Corporate Engagement and ensure all visual materials are on brand and effectively communicate Innovate UK Business Connect and Innovate UK core messages and engage target audiences.
This will be a key role in the Reach and Engagement Directorate, working in house and with agencies to create high-quality visual content that adheres to Innovate UK Business Connect, Innovate UK and UKRI style guidelines. The role should collaborate with the Online, Social Media, Campaigns and Corporate teams to design accessible infographics, videos, presentations and digital and print assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and PowerPoint.###
Roles & Responsibilities
Drive the development of creative visual media to support internal and external communications across Innovate UK Business Connect and system.
Assure branding is used correctly and create and update collateral banks.
Design and develop digital and print ready content, including templates, infographics, videos, digital banners, reports, brochures, and social media assets, in line with Innovate UK and UKRI style guidelines.
Produce artwork using current templates and create custom graphics where needed, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards, ensuring all materials are fresh and relevant.
Develop engaging PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Support the production of video content, including editing and motion graphics, to create compelling visual case studies and PR.
Provide design expertise and guidance to colleagues across Innovate UK Business Connect, advising on best practices and maintaining visual consistency.

Experience & Skills
Essential Experience
Demonstrable experience in graphic design, with a focus on creating digital and print assets in line with brand guidelines.
Proven experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva for designing various visual materials.
Ability to work to deadline and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience designing presentations that incorporate infographics and dynamic visuals.
Ability to produce engaging infographics and visual content that simplifies complex information.
Experience in video editing and creating motion graphics for marketing and corporate communications.
An understanding of accessibility standards in visual design to ensure materials are inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.
An understanding of the design approach that prioritises digital platforms as the primary medium for content creation and visual communication.
Resilience when working within complex systems, with varied approval routes.
Desirable Experience
Experience working within a public sector or corporate environment, adhering to established brand guidelines.
Knowledge of Innovate UK and UKRI's visual style guidelines or experience working with similar style guides.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday, Asana, or Jira to coordinate design tasks and projects.
Previous experience in designing materials for public sector campaigns, events, or reports in collaboration with communications teams.
Skills
Extensive IT Skills including Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across different teams in parallel.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and build effective relationships with staff at all levels.
