Attention to detail and accuracy are essential,
you'll ensure all artwork and content is correct, including spelling and grammar, and delivered on time. This is a hands?on role where you'll combine creative design with practical production knowledge, turning concepts into high?quality manufactured graphics.
Key Responsibilities
Design signage and wayfinding schemes from concept through to production?ready artwork.
Create clear mapping, pictograms, iconography, and typographic hierarchies for accessible navigation.
Prepare accurate artwork for manufacture, including cut lines, layers and fixings details.
Collaborate with production teams and learn to operate graphics machinery such as printers, plotters and cutting machines.
Attend client meetings and site surveys, providing professional advice and capturing accurate information.
Manage multiple projects, working to deadlines and the timescales set out on job tickets.
Produce graphics for social media platforms and upload content to support marketing activity.
Take client visuals/ideas and translate them into effective, buildable signage solutions.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and thoroughly check their own work before release.
Support proposals and tender submissions with visuals and layouts.
Ensure all outputs meet accessibility and inclusivity standards.
Requirements
Strong portfolio showcasing signage, wayfinding, or environmental graphic design or similar.
Proficient in
Adobe Illustrator
and ideally
CorelDRAW
(or similar programmes).
Excellent communication skills; confident in client?facing situations and site discussions.
Used to working under pressure, meeting deadlines and following job ticket schedules.
Full UK driving
licence
for site visits and surveys.
Willingness to learn and operate production machinery (printers, plotters, cutting equipment).
Sound understanding of typography, iconography and information hierarchy.
Knowledge of signage materials and finishes is advantageous.
Qualifications
Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Strong written and verbal English (essential).
GCSE English Language at grade A/7 or above (or equivalent) preferred.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
Photography and videography to support content creatio
n
(capturing on?site images/clips; basic editing and optimisation for social platforms).
Website knowledge and editing.
Familiarity with mapping/GIS tools.
Motion graphics .
Mechanical knowledge .
CAD / Solidworks experience.
