Lakeside Signs is rapidly growing. We are one of the leading signage companies within for the hospitality sector, delivering stunning external decoration schemes for pubs and large-scale hotel projects for Major Brands.

We are looking for a new full time, office based, Signage Designer.

Who We Are Looking For

We believe your creativity and software skills are a given, the job of a "Signage Designer" is deeper than that.

We are looking for a designer who understands that great signage design is a mix of engineering, psychology, architecture, and creativity.

It isn't just visual; what you design must work in the real world under physical, environmental, and commercial conditions.

Does this sound like you?

Software knowledge; Full proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (non-negotiable). Proficiency in InDesign is helpful.

Technical mindset; You don't just produce artwork; you can balance design with feasibility, and cost.

Ability to create scale drawings, understand fixing methods and materials.

You can read plans, elevations, and site layouts, understanding that your signs must interact with the built environment.

You design in the knowledge that what you draw will be fabricated into a real object.

You are a communicator; You can articulate ideas clearly to clients and colleagues.

You can turn client uncertainty into clarity, collaborating with everyone from business owners to installers.

As our new designer, you won't just make things look good, you will make them functionally beautiful.

You will help turn market leading brands into 3d objects within the built environment that real people will interact with.

The Role

Based in our offices in Barry, South Wales, you will take ownership of projects from concept to production-ready files. You will be working on exciting, high-visibility projects, primarily within the hotel and leisure industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Designing comprehensive signage schemes for hotels and pub external decorations.

Managing individual projects and communicating directly with clients.

Producing technically accurate artwork that considers the physical fabrication of the sign.

Working standard office hours within a supportive, growing team.

Experience

To handle the unique mix required for this role, signage industry experience, or similar, is essential.
