The Global Decarbonization Hub (GDH) falls under the Global ESG umbrella. The Global Decarbonisation Hub acts as an accelerator to the growth of our global Climate change, Decarbonisation and Nature (CDN) business with four priorities:

1. Supporting member firms, accounts and sector teams with targeted business development activities, client conversations, proposals and delivery using our sector-specific insights and deep decarbonization expertise.
2. Globalising KPMG's offerings across the climate change, decarbonization and nature agenda through the scaling of services, solutions, technologies and methodologies. Tailoring these for sectors and geographies as required.
3. Managing a global climate community, driving a number of connected networks and working groups across the firm sharing knowledge and insights to build climate change, decarbonisation and nature capability in member firms, regions and globally.
4. Growing KPMG's brand and reputation in the climate change, decarbonization and nature space through cutting edge thought leadership, major external events, active social media presence and other targeted marketing activities.

Role summary



The Global Decarbonization Hub Green Finance Senior Manager will be a dedicated expert supporting a consolidated global approach around Green Finance.





They will be responsible for driving KPMG's propositions within the Green Finance agenda, supporting our Member Firms (MFs) to sell services to their most important clients. The expert will also define the go to market strategy, helping to globalise KPMG's offerings across the Green Finance agenda, collaborating with our global network and building KPMG's reputation as a Green Finance services leader.



The ideal candidate will understand the Green Finance market and have experience working in a climate-related field coupled with advisory and business development experience. They will be commercially minded, with an ability to complete a wide variety of tasks to a high standard.

Key Accountabilities



Support member firms with proposals in this area through the bid stage and through delivery Develop KPMG's Global Green Finance strategy in consultation with the Global Decarbonization Hub Lead and experts in member firms, regions and other parts of global Build global connectivity across the Green Finance capability, creating a community of knowledge sharing across accounts and countries for this specialist area, as well as driving alignment to raise our profile in the market and support the building of subject matter capability in the network Oversee and support the strengthening of all KPMG Green Finance propositions Drive a consistent global point of view across thought leadership papers, external marketing campaigns and communications to enhance our global brand Develop and build experience and credentials in market leading services and solutions and identify pockets of innovation from the network which can be scaled Develop and oversee all Green Finance related technology solutions, actively examining potential alliance and strategic partner opportunities in the same area Lead KPMG's global involvement on all Green Finance matters with key external stakeholders Support and contribute to KPMG's growth plans by working with sectors and functions to build detailed and relevant narratives, which will equip partners and all KPMG colleagues in initiating conversations related to Green Finance with clients Interact and support our key priority accounts in relation to Green Finance, building strong and meaningful relationships with Lead Partners, client service teams and clients directly Originate Green Finance opportunities and engagements, leading business development initiatives including targeting key C-Suite level individuals, proposing KPMG's services and closing opportunities Cooperate with other Global and Regional Hubs as well as our pillars across Global ESG to ensure we have integrated and end-to-end offerings and one consistent narrative

Experience & Knowledge



Have deep understanding of the Green Finance market, experience of working in a climate-related field and a solid understanding of climate change solutions Deep understanding of the Sustainable Finance market and practices, e.g. the perspectives of finance providers and finance receivers, impact investing and transition finance Strong knowledge of key frameworks, standards and frameworks (e.g., SFDR, SDR, EU Taxonomy, GFANZ Transition Finance Framework, ISSB, Transition plans, SBTi) Experience developing sustainable finance frameworks and investment policies Practical understanding of climate risk and opportunity analysis, transition pathways, and climate-aligned investing Have experience of managing multiple workstreams and a proven ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks with competing priorities Have experience in business development or consulting, particularly in the area of origination, bids and pursuits and have a commerical mindset Have excellent communication, analytical and planning skills Have excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage, influence, build networks and relationships across key stakeholders Have excellent presentation skills, especially with senior audiences, with the ability to present information in a clear and effective manner Have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with the ability to work independently and to pursue tasks through to completion with energy, initiative and enthusiasm Be a strong team player and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver projects and tasks effectively Be resilient and able to demonstrate perseverance and tenacity under pressure Have a track record of making things happen at scale either at KPMG or in the market Have an understanding of - and passion for mitigating - climate change

Technical skills, abilities & qualifications

Solid educational background and qualifications (degree or formal business qualification in a climate-related field highly desirable) Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills essential Business development skills and experience desirable
