About the Role
We are looking for a part-time, Green Spaces Maintenance and Inspection Officer to join our busy team, helping to deliver a maintenance, inspection and repairs service for play areas and greenspaces owned by the Council. This role provides a highly visible presence to the public, assisting to minimise vandalism and environmental crime, and meeting safety standards.
This is a part time position working 17 hours per week on a permanent basis. Flexibility will be required in order to undertake early morning and evening work, as well as some weekend and bank holiday working as needed.

About You
Educated to Grade 4/C or above at GCSE level or equivalent and a full UK driving licence is required. A RPII Operational Play Inspector Accreditation will be required - training will be provided if necessary within the probationary period. The post is subject to a basic DBS check, Police Vetting and appropriate safeguarding training.
You will have the skills to undertake maintenance and repairs and be happy to work outside in all weathers. You will have good communication skills and the ability to produce inspection reports. Previous experience of use of law enforcement powers and working in a Local Government contract setting is desirable, but not essential.
