Grid Solutions Manager will be responsible for the management of the complex Grid Infrastructure dynamic of PV power plants and BESS projects as a key internal ib vogt stakeholder. Grid Infrastructure is here defined generally as cables, transmission lines, substations, grid connection bays and other auxiliary structures outside the PV Park fence.


Grid Solutions Manager ensures seamless development, execution, advancement, energization and handover to O&M of Grid Infrastructure projects for utility-scale PV power plants and BESS projects.

Key Challenges



Participate in worldwide energy projects from the early phase definitions until the operation. Take on engineering and design of grid connections on utility-scale PV/BESS power plants. Support the project development with technical expertise during the early stages of projects and new markets. Qualify and manage external engineering consultants. Specify and coordinate the technical aspects of tendering interconnection infrastructure projects (power transformers, substations, AIS/GIS switchgears, cable. Coordinate subcontractors during design and execution of projects in cooperation with the on-site team. Aggregate, manage and produce documentation and information for management, clients, lenders and advisers. Meet with utilities and stakeholders worldwide for technical discussions. Coordination and communication with third party technical advisors. Grid Code Compliance (Specification, Engineering and RfG - EON, ION, FON) requirements identification, follow-up and completeness to guarantee grid energization Project Development Support typical tasks: Grid feasibility studies, Grid Connection Agreements, Grid access evaluation, Technical support during Due Diligence processes.


Qualifications



Academic degree in electrical engineering, renewable energies or similar with a focus on energy technology. We're looking for someone with 8+ years of relevant experience, a proactive and independent mindset, and a passion for supporting the growth of junior colleagues. International project management experience in the field of grid connection of power plants from medium up to extra-high voltage level. Secure understanding of all topics relating to energy technology and its components, including the associated civil engineering, concrete, steel and prefabricated construction as well as electromechanical work. A deep understanding of the European NC RfG (Network Code Requirements for Generators) and the implementation into grid compliance codes across the world are mandatory. Competent use of MS Office applications. Knowledge in grid compliance studies and usage of simulation software (PowerFactory or PSS/E) or CAD tools are welcome. Positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn. Solid understanding of TSO/DNO and Grid Connection in UK is needed. Certifications in AutoCAD, PowerFactory, PSS/E, PMI are advantageous Proficiency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal.
