Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to the restaurant's menu specifications. Assist in the overall food preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food and kitchen equipment.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting, preferably with grill experience. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly in meal preparation and grilling methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues. Attention to detail, particularly regarding food presentation and quality control. A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills.

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour
