Right now, we're looking for a Grooming Equipment Class 1 Technician to join our Grooming Equipment Tech Team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.
The Role
As a Grooming Equipment Class 1 Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of key grooming salon equipment across our estate of 345 salons. This includes Clippers, Trimmers, Blasters and Dryers, along with PAT testing completed equipment before despatch. You will also play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the department, including processing incoming deliveries, preparing next-day appointments, and ensuring that backup stock is available to support salon operations. This role is hands-on and varied, requiring excellent fault-finding, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Service and repair Clippers, Trimmers, Blasters, and Dryers to a high standard.
Perform PAT Testing on all electrical equipment post-repair.
Diagnose and resolve issues using approved tools and training.
Maintain a central bank of backup equipment to minimise salon disruption.
Accurately receive, record, and despatch equipment and stock.
Package and label completed repairs for despatch to salons.
Prepare for next-day work by reviewing appointments and assigning to correct zones.
Keep detailed records of all service and repair work, including parts used.
Monitor and replenish consumable stock, escalating order requirements as needed.
Participate in and support regular stock takes and booking-in processes.
Assist with ongoing improvement of repair processes through research and testing.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
Background in electrical repair and maintenance.
Experience working in a repair-focused environment.
Desirable Experience
Abrasive Wheels Certification.
Experience in logistics or fulfilment-based roles.
PAT Testing certification.
