Overview
Our client, a well-established provider of aviation services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Station Manager to lead daily operations across multiple service lines at Leeds Bradford Airport. This role is critical in delivering consistent, high-quality ground services in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner.
The Station Manager will take full operational responsibility for services such as aircraft cabin cleaning, deep-cleaning, toilet and water servicing, and exterior cleaning. The successful candidate will foster a strong safety culture, drive team performance, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities
Aircraft Cabin Cleaning
Manage secure cabin cleaning operations in line with airline and safety protocols
Lead and support teams in delivering clean, passenger-ready aircraft interiors
Interior Deep Cleaning
Oversee deep-cleaning tasks as required by clients, ensuring high standards of hygiene
Ensure proper use of cleaning agents and equipment
Toilet and Water Servicing
Coordinate toilet waste removal and potable water replenishment activities
Ensure full compliance with hygiene and safety requirements
Exterior Aircraft Cleaning
Supervise cleaning of aircraft exteriors, ensuring safe practices and alignment with client specifications
Health & Safety
Maintain a strong safety-first culture across all teams
Ensure full compliance with aviation safety regulations and company policies
Team Management & Development
Recruit, train, and support frontline staff across all service areas
Foster engagement and professional growth through hands-on leadership
Stakeholder Relations
Liaise with airline representatives, airport personnel, and partners to maintain high service standards
Resolve any service delivery issues in a timely, professional manner
Performance Monitoring
Track service metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
Ensure all operations are delivered within budget and to agreed KPIs
Emergency Preparedness
Ensure response plans are in place for service disruptions or emergencies
Lead effective coordination in times of operational pressure or delays
Process Improvement
Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation
Evaluate service delivery for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong experience in aviation ground operations, including cabin, exterior, and technical servicing
Demonstrated success in leading large operational teams
Deep knowledge of health & safety compliance within an airport environment
Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Strong problem-solving capabilities and adaptability in fast-paced settings
Confident communicator, both written and verbal
Financial and operational management experience, including budget oversight and performance tracking
Performance Expectations
Maintain a zero-complaint standard across all service lines
Consistently meet or exceed internal operational performance targets
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within aviation ground operations
Strong leadership presence with a collaborative and proactive management style
Flexibility to support operations during evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Full manual UK driving licence
Compliance Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety procedures at Leeds Bradford Airport
Maintain full compliance with legal and aviation regulatory standards
Promptly report all hazards, near misses, and incidents in accordance with airport policies
