Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The Groundworker will play a vital role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of sites for construction by clearing debris and leveling ground. Operate hand tools and machinery as required for groundworks, including diggers and compactors. Lay foundations, drainage systems, and other groundwork elements according to specifications. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly after use. Report any issues or concerns regarding site conditions or equipment to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is essential as is CSCS card. Ability to operate basic construction machinery is preferred and CPCS or NPORS training is beneficial. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry. Excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
