Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring that all groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety practices.

Duties

Carry out excavation and ground preparation tasks for construction projects. Slab laying Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other essential groundwork. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring that all tools and materials are stored correctly. Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and basic machinery relevant to groundworks. Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed accurately and safely. Previous experience in groundwork or construction is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Understanding of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
