Due to a growing workload and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are looking to expand our skilled team with the addition of reliable and experienced Groundworkers who take pride in their trade and are committed to high standards.
Role Overview:
As a Groundworker with OJP Contracts, you will play a vital role in site preparation and development. You'll be part of a hands-on team working on tasks such as drainage installation, ducting, concrete laying, kerbing, paving, and general reinstatement works. We're looking for individuals who are proactive, adaptable, and confident in delivering work to spec, on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out all aspects of groundwork including: Excavation and trenching Drainage and duct installation Kerbing, edging, and block paving Slab laying and concrete works Backfilling and reinstatement Interpret and work from site drawings, levels, and specifications Support plant operators and work closely with site supervisors Maintain site safety and cleanliness at all times Follow instructions from foremen, supervisors, and project managers Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold company values on site
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in general groundwork or civil engineering roles Valid
CSCS card
Knowledge of health & safety practices on construction sites Ability to work both independently and as part of a team CPCS Full UK driving licence and own transportJob Type: Full-time
