Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to groundworks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team on various construction sites.

Responsibilities

Carry out groundwork duties including excavation, drainage installation, and laying foundations. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively. Assist in the preparation of sites for construction activities. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly. Follow instructions from senior staff regarding specific tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred but not essential. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites is advantageous. A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.
