Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundworks, including excavation, drainage, and the installation of utilities. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

Carry out excavation and earthmoving tasks as directed by site supervisors. Assist in the installation of drainage systems and utilities. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site. Report any issues or hazards to the site supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. A valid CSCS card is preferred but can be obtained upon employment. Familiarity with health and safety practices in construction is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.50-17.50 per hour
