Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher/ Groundworker to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to a high standard, ensuring smoothness, durability, as well as General Groundworks. This role requires a strong understanding of groundworks and concrete finishing techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry, carpentry, or related trades to develop their skills further within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including smoothing, trowelling, and edging to achieve specified textures and finishes Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively Ability to perform groundworks to a high level, kerbing, flagging, drainage etc. Set forms and moulds for concrete pours, ensuring proper alignment and stability Use welding skills where necessary for structural adjustments or repairs Assist with site preparation and ensure work areas are clean and safe at all times Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for efficient workflow Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work

Qualifications

Proven experience in groundworks and concrete finishing. Skilled CSCS card. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction operations is desirable Valid driving licence for commercial driving may be beneficial but not essential Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 4 weeks

Pay: 20.00-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
