We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker with experience in residential extensions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various construction and landscaping projects. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for preparing sites, assisting with installations, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring the area is safe for work. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations, and other structures. Operate hand tools and machinery as required for various tasks. Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure personal and team safety. Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals within deadlines.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred but not essential. Ability to operate basic construction tools and machinery safely. Strong physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Good communication skills to understand instructions clearly. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory. A commitment to learning new skills and improving existing ones.
