We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Ground worker's to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in various construction and maintenance projects throughout the central belt of Scotland and surrounding areas, ensuring that all groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety practices on site.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sites for construction activities, including clearing debris and levelling ground.
Assist in the installation of drainage systems, foundations and other groundwork components.
Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently to carry out tasks.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Follow all health and safety regulations while on site to maintain a safe working environment.
Report any issues or hazards encountered during work to the site supervisor promptly.
Skills
Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is advantageous.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Valid CSCS card - basic knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry is essential.
Valid driving license would be preferable but not essential.
Other certifications i.e. Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Confined Spaces, DOMS, Streetworks and Plant Operating cards would be preferable but not necessary.
Wage is dependant on experience.
