Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team as a Ground Worker and/or Plant Operative. This role is essential for creating, maintaining the aesthetic appeal of various ground works projects including, drainage and block paving to residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in all aspects of groundworks and construction, along with mechanical knowledge and licenses to operate various tools and equipment effectively along with a valid CSCS card.

Duties

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and machinery including excavators/tippers/folk lifts for various projects. Carry out routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Assist in construction projects related to groundworks, including the installation of pathways, retaining walls, and other structures. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used for each project.

Requirements

Proven experience in groundworks or a related field is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators is desirable. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment. A valid driver's licence is advantageous for travel between job sites. Pay: 12.86-25.46 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
