Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Associate to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes landscape maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools. As a Facilities Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Duties

Conduct regular maintenance of landscapes, including mowing, trimming, and planting to ensure a well-kept appearance. Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities as needed. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks around the facility. Operate excavators and other machinery safely for landscaping and construction projects. Install and maintain irrigation systems to support healthy plant growth. Assist in construction projects by providing support in building and repairing structures. Engage in gardening activities, including planting, weeding, and nurturing plants to promote horticultural health. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.

Skills

Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks. Experience operating excavators or similar machinery is advantageous. Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance. Background in construction is beneficial for assisting with various projects. Knowledge of gardening techniques and horticulture principles is desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and initiative.
