About the Role
TTSR are seeking a skilled and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across a range of client sites in Bristol. This is a long-term position with year-round work, offering stability, on-the-job training, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, your main duties will include:
Carrying out a variety of grounds maintenance tasks: grass cutting, strimming, spraying, pruning, hedge trimming, and general landscaping.
Operating a range of machinery, including ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
Performing weed control and chemical spraying (PA1/PA6 required).
Ensuring work is completed to a professional standard and within schedule.
Following Health & Safety protocols and using PPE at all times.
Using a Personal Lone Working Device to follow lone working safety procedures.
Completing necessary paperwork, such as vehicle checks, risk assessments, and method statements.
Acting as a company ambassador - treating clients, colleagues, and the public with respect.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and supporting ongoing contract delivery and ad-hoc projects.
Required Qualifications
Full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
PA1/PA6 spraying qualification (essential)
CSCS card
Relevant equipment operation certificates (any of the following are advantageous):
Excavator
Brush cutters/Trimmers
Pedestrian Mowers
Woodchippers
Ride-on Mowers
ROLO Health & Safety Awareness
First Aid Certificate
Who We're Looking For
We want someone who:
Has at least 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Has a positive, flexible attitude and is open to learning new skills.
Can work independently to a high standard and manage their time effectively.
Is interested in developing professionally and keeping certifications up to date.
