Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in groundskeeping and landscape maintenance. This role is essential in ensuring that our outdoor spaces are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee landscape maintenance tasks including planting, watering, and general upkeep of gardens and green spaces. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various maintenance tasks such as building structures, digging, and irrigation installation. Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing repair or improvement. Develop maintenance schedules and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Train team members on proper use of equipment and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements

Supervise a small team to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies. Ensure that client requirements and specifications are met for the enjoyment, recreation, and safety of sites, employees, and visitors. Work hands-on with the team to provide a top-class horticultural environment. Full driving licence is essential. Spraying Certificates NPTC PA1 & PA6 Team leader experience or motivational qualities. Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance Ability to implement Health & Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices. Knowledge of heavy-duty gardening equipment
DBS / CRB certificate checks to be undertaken.
