Grounds Maintenance Team Leader / Operative / Driver
to join our fast-paced team, carrying out commercial Landscaped Grounds Maintenance on managed developments, primarily in the South East.
The right candidate will be supplied with their own van and equipment based at our main depot near Chelmsford. You will supply our clients with a high-quality service and be able to adapt to needs that arise on site. There is room for progression with fully paid training and courses and career growth with a 35-year established regional Grounds Maintenance company.
Requirements of Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Experience in this industry, (2 years) either in horticulture/gardening or grounds/landscape maintenance with a good knowledge of time management and able to demonstrate your experience in this industry preferable, with tickets but training will be given. Provide checkable references when required.
You will need to be able to get to our depot near Hatfield Peverel/Chelmsford for morning starts ready for traveling to sites.
You must be a well-organised individual, able to communicate well with your work colleagues, as you will have a portfolio of sites to maintain to a high standard.
An average of 45-48 hours can be assumed in peak season.
Qualifications in horticulture would be an asset, e.g. Hort/RHS diploma, PA1 & PA6 spray certificates, and machinery tickets. Please state if you have these when applying.
Driving licence.

Be self-motivated and able to work under your own initiative.
Able to understand and use cloud-based systems for reporting and job analysis.
Able to understand the importance of client/customer satisfaction and able to converse responsibly when requested. In today's climate understanding these needs is paramount.
Good working knowledge of horticultural industry machinery and be familiar with powered equipment, and able to use ride on mowers, or at least be familiar in the use of. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
Skills
Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools for various maintenance tasks.
Experience in landscape maintenance, including gardening, and groundskeeping techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external contractors.
Benefits of
Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Salary: Starting at 27,000.00 which is negotiated at/after interview, based on experience, qualifications, and demonstration of industry knowledge.
200 Refer a friend scheme starting from day 1 of employment and paid once their probation is successfully completed.
28 days holiday including Bank holidays, on a pro rata basis per year.
