Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking

Grounds Operative

to join our team. The role involves maintaining a variety of outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, and larger public areas. You will work with a range of tools and equipment to perform tasks such as:

Lawn mowing using walk-behind and ride-on mowers Hedge trimming Weed control (using weed spraying knapsacks) Tree pruning and care General grounds maintenance

Equipment used:

Hedge trimmers, pole saws, chainsaws (with training), and weed spraying knapsacks. PA1 & PA6 training will be provided for weed control.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform grounds maintenance tasks across commercial, domestic, and public sector sites. Operate machinery such as mowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws (training provided where required). Apply weed control measures using knapsacks (training for PA1 & PA6 certification will be provided). Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company standards. Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any defects. Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements:

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar grounds maintenance position is desirable. A valid driving licence is essential. Certificates in operating plant machinery and chainsaws are desirable but not essential (training will be provided). Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Willingness to undergo PA1 & PA6 training for weed control.

Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour
